Apple Pie with Vanilla Custard

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 pack of paradise cream
  • 270 g flour (Mehl)
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 7 drops vanilla aroma (or 1 vanilla sachet)
  • 2–3 apples (peeled and sliced)
  • 100 g sugar
  • 100 ml milk
  • 80 g butter (melted)
  • 2 eggs
  • Pinch of salt

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a bowl, mix eggs and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add melted butter, milk, and vanilla aroma. Mix well.
  4. In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients into the wet mixture and mix into a smooth batter.
  6. Pour half of the batter into a greased baking dish.
  7. Add a layer of sliced apples evenly.
  8. Prepare the paradise cream according to package instructions and spread it over the apples.
  9. Pour the remaining batter on top.
  10. Bake for 35–40 minutes until golden brown.
  11. Let it cool slightly before serving.

TIPS:

  • Use slightly sour apples for a better flavor balance.
  • Add a sprinkle of cinnamon for extra taste.
  • Serve warm for best results.
  • You can dust powdered sugar on top for decoration.
  • Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 2 days.
